any tips on speeding it up? been very slow lately and am now having to play on low detail with it still very slow. im rs2 on f2p. i have an old runescape downloaded version that i use. is there a new download i can d/l that is quicker?

My runescape used to be slow as well.

My solution was simple:

Press Ctrl-Alt-Delete
Click Task Manager if option comes up.
Click on Processes
End any processes that do not say SYSTEM next to them
Go online if you use dial-up connections
Open Runescape

If this does not help you can try scanning your computer for viruses or spy/ad-ware.

Umm.What do you mean by old download? Runescape is always downloaded..Try going to Internet options and deleting your cookies.

Get faster internet. Scan for Spyware/Adware.

If all else fails, get Switch. Technically, it's against RS rules... But it's supposedly reduces lag.

what do you mean by that? i never downloaded runescape... is that runescape classic or something that you are reffering to?

I mean like, you click on world and they ask you to accept. That's considered as downloading. :roll: :wink:
