Because the ones that grow on the waters edge must be different than the others for some reason. You should write to the tree in the new letter thing, I bet you'll get an interesting response as to why :wink:

Ill try to explain this with science:
-As the water rushes by or beats on the coast, it constantly erodes sediment. When it erodes the earth beneath the willow trees, the trees might start growing askew to keep their "balance" and keep from tipping over.
I just thought of that, in no way is the above statement backed by any research, it's just a thought.
