So I've never really done a lot of quoting in my posts, but I know its possible to put multiple quotes or pieces of quotes into a post. I see it a lot in the discussion and debate section when people pick apart someones post and respond to each particular point.

I decided to join in on the "Teapot" game in the games section so I am probably going to need to actually learn this now.


Most obviously I know how to type out the command "[quote] ect" and I can always copy, paste and quote each individual piece of text I want to quote but that seems like more work than i really feel like going through.

I also know how to hit the "quote" button that quotes someones post but that is just one post, is there a way I can automatically put multiple quotes in a post without having to do it manually?

Use the button on every post you want to quote, except for the last one.

On the last post you want to quote, click on the button, and you're set.

and I wanted to split it into several quotes, there's no way to do that. The only feasible way would be to copy and paste "[quote=Ninja;976674]" several times:

If you want to quote a name, Smoke said to copy and paste something like "[quote=Ninja;976674]". You can do that, but you can also just do "[quote=Ninja]" without the numbers and achieve the same result.
