according to deviant art almost all the art work on the internet is illegal unless done from scratch or we have permission from the original creator (we can't make a sig out of a game wallpaper without the companies permission <_<)

alot of stock packs are made with images that the owner has allowed people to use, but how can you really know?

I think the reason most gaming companies etc don't care is because its advertising for their game, there might actually be written permission somewhere, if anyone finds some please link so i can read it.

If this is true, almost everyone on DeviantArt has broken the law at some point. This was probably just an initial rule for security reasons and such.

I found some mod linked to this on Kriminal's DA account, apparantly a bunch of his stuff got removed.

everything I put on DA is from scratch, photos taken by me, drawings etc.

I know at least one member (stinky666, he makes a lot of C4Ds) allows his stuff to be used freely so I just downloaded some of his C4D packs so I had stuff I knew I could legally use.

Yeah, I have a lot of resources from Stinky.
But, I use renders and stocks from games a lot, so it's illegal I guess.
