Don't you think a temp. ban is a bit harsh?
There is a fine line between flat-out "Spam", and the type of "Spam" that I'm being trialed for.
Seriously, loosen up a bit. There are members that actually deserve a ban.

Man why did you get banned FFS?

Yes its Lobo....that ban was seriously pointless.

Baha, I thought it might be a guy from one of your other forums that was complainging about a ban.
Anyway!
It was stupid of you to make that "Good Night" post but, I agree there are members here who deserve a ban more then you do.
The worst part of it is, they may up it to a year ban for multiple accounts.
I don't think it deserved a temp. ban right at the holidays but, I'd hate to get in a fight with Henry.

A year ban? Who in their right mind would return after a year?

A year ban? Who in their right mind would return after a year?
Carrot Time did.
That's what i'm saying Lobo; It's honestly going to be tragic if they do it. It's happened to the best of us. And I doubt we'd ever see you again :(
Anyway, I don't know what I can do. It was a fair infraction, yet it piled up.
And you did create multiple accounts and you could get more of a ban.
All I can suggest is PM-ing it over with the one who banned you.
We should be giving thanks not tearing our little community apart.

In any case, Dr. Lobo is no longer active which in theory wards any chances of getting banned for multiple accounts.

I didn't want to give you a ban. But you had received so many infractions, it happened automatically.
First of all, you are a member of RSB who knows the rules and purposefully broke them for a few laughs. I mean seriously, tell me the point of that thread.
You didn't get banned because you spammed. You got an infraction because you spammed and a ban occurred because of the amount of infractions you have received in a certain amount of time.
If you don't want to be banned, don't break the rules like that. And besides, it is just a week.

So spend the time with your family. You shouldn't be spending the whole holiday on RSB. Rules are rules. Be thankful that you weren't banned for a year.
And Yeti I am surprised to see you telling me that I was being too harsh. From what I have heard, you infract people left and right all of the time.

Rules are something that I went by a while back. Now that I know the basic regulations, I limit myself. As a person who doesn't play RuneScape, I don't engage in alot of RS-based discussion hence the reason for my seemingly abrupt outbursts.
The conversations on here are no more relevant then my "Good Night" Thread (Refer to "I got beat by an old man". Hell that thread was stickied for a few laughs. You sticky a spam thread, I make a spam thread. Where's the irony in that. Lear to practice what you preach, or learn to blow stuff off.
A week ban for a load of **** is what makes it aggravating.
But it's the holiday :(
And I'm not feeling too thankful.

Please Mods of RSB do not start fighting. How about this, all you mods are harsh AT TIMES, but things happen, and we all have to deal with it no matter how much we all hate it.

Oh I gave that up a while ago :)
...Ever since the Wilky+Rupert incident. Or since Glory Pm'd me...
Now I simply PM them, they stop breaking the rules, they stay on the forum. All is well.
And if it's a rule they obviously knew about, a bad rep sends the message without the pain of not being able to post during a 5-7 day break.
But really, there's no reason I should explain it, you can look in the infraction section and see my recent infractions.:o
Anyway, if you feel a week ban for Lobo is nessary then I won't argue it.
But, he's obviously still here >.<
I think this should be locked though, and all discussion should go on between Henry and Lobo via PM.
But, that's just me.

Last I checked, I wasn't the one who stickied that thread. And last I checked, the thread was posted in off topic and referred to how a person's day had been (Ch00bs).
Creating a thread that just says "I'm going to bed now" or something random like that is not the same thing.
And what was I supposed to do? Leave your thread open for a few laughs? How is "good night, I'm going to bed" funny? Because it is so pointless? YOu can't add discussion to that thread. There is no point to it.
And are you saying that not playing Runescape is the cause for this spam? And that you feel justified to spam to relieve yourself of any urge you might have to spam? Do that in the 1,000,000 posts thread because your wants do not put you above the rules.

The thread I used was an example and I was referring to all of the moderators in general. You and I both know there are certain threads that are considered "Spam" according to the forum's standards.
"Spam" seems to be what this forum is slowly evolving into. (Hence Trozi's random posts, for example, lack of RuneScape-related content, etc.) You act as if this is something new. Moderation was necessary, I suppose, but not a ban. I'm pretty sure you were aware that 1 more infraction would lead to a ban.

Please name a few threads.
And there are sections for Runescape related stuff and sections for non-Runescape related stuff. If this forum was Runescape based only, I dubt we would have as many members active as we do.
Members who post "random posts" are taken care of almost all of the time. You aren't a staff member so you can't see deleted posts and all that. Mods change thread titles, edit/delete posts, and delete threads all of the time that are considered inappropriate or spam. If you feel that we are missing a thread that is spam, let us know. Don't go making another thread because you feel justified to do so. Two wrongs don't make a right, I guess.
And I had no idea you had so many infractions before I clicked the button that starts the submission for a new infraction/warning. And on there it said you had 3 infractions.
So I thought to myself "I could let him off with a warning... but Lobo knows that was he did was wrong and he was been warned in the past so why should this be any different?" So I infracted you seeing that the ban was only a week.
You and I used to be good friends. I don't know why you would think that I would want you banned.

^^^I give infractions based on the severity of the offense, if I believe the person has a good understanding of the rules, or if the person has done it before.
I gave you an infraction for your signature because you have had signature problems several times in the past and countless warnings didn't do anything. Then you bad repped me because of my infraction so I infracted you again for abusing the rep system, when you should have been banned.

I didn't think the staff member(s) really did anything all that wrong.
Without taking sides, I think it was a spam thread that needed to be deleted and an infraction added if the user was fully aware of the rules.
Since Lobo has been here a while, that's what happened, it just seems unfortunate that it turns out it caused a ban.
