i Was leveling up my magic like a maniac and for some reason the xp would go up so slow and i was wondering
1.what kind of runes to use
2.what spell to cast
3.what staff should i use
4.what to attack(my fav is lesser demons)
please answer so i can keep on getting my mage up.

well when i was training my mage as soon as i got crumble undead i used it till like 40 mage on f2p sewers against skeleton

What I do is go to First of Guthix
It helps me and up my xp's up fast

no no no the best way is to use high alch at 55 and b3for that you can just use chaos runes untill then( the spell you need airs and chaos only so you dont spend as much) or if you have 50 smithing and 60 mining go to the mining guild and buy naturesanda fire staff and super hear mith bars and sell those

stick with the lesser demons..
and use chaos runes.
with an air staff.

Do fist of guthix till lvl 55, then high alch the rest of the time.

high alchemy seems to be the hot topic. so i shall do that when i reach 55 magic.

Camelot teleport is very quick if you can afford to spend the money on it. Otherwise, alching is probably the way forward...

Believe it or not, Fire Strike on White Knights helps a lot. I got 5 magic levels in an hour and 30 minutes. from 42-47 Magic using Fire Strike. Which I think is good, considering that's....35K exp, an hour.
For fire strike, you need level 13 magic to even cast it....3 fire runes (I suggest using a Fire Staff or Air Staff, since either way, you will still spend the same amount of money on the other runes). I think you only use 1 mind rune per spell, and mine runes are 9-10gp each.
Total cost:
Staff of Air: 1K roughly
Staff of Fire: 900gp
Fire rune: 9 (3 for 1 spell), 27*
Air rune: 13 (2 for one spell), 26*
Mind rune: 1 for 1 spell, 10gp
*Exclude from rune cost if you are using the air/fire staff.
For 1 fire strike, if you're using the Staff of Air:
27+10=37gp. 37gp per strike is used
For 1 Fire strike using Staff of Fire:
26+10=36gp. 36gp per strike is used.
Without the staves:
27+26+10=63. 63 coins per cast is used. Although I highly recommend you get the staff, only a 1 time payment for roughly 1k, and you save 30gp, and more money in the long run.
Experience rate: 11.5 experience per damage per strike, I think. If you hit an 8 (the spell's max) you get 92xp. If you splash (spell failed to hit) you still get Magic XP, 10 or so.

Camelot Telly is good when you are at 45 Mage to 55 Mage, but it's mems. Otherwise just blast skeletons with Crumble Undead. Then when you're at 55 Mage, alch Rune Meds.
