steel plate are always good for high alching - I think you get 1200 gp each. Plus you get your smithing up while making them. Besides that, I high alch jewellery, and any mith or rune items that come my way.

Well, rune plates would be good. But impratical unless you have tons of gp. If you're smithing is high, I'd do armor. If not, why not raise with battle spells on lessers from the safe spots and alch the rune meds? Bring cash and buy them and alch and get your money back. Or the rune squares and scimmies from the roaches. Sadly, no safe spots there because they throw that nasty black goo at you. Don't forget the goofy body rune spells like weaken and curse. Every little bit helps.
I raised my mage with superheat. It mutlitasks with mining, smithing and mage. It's only 50 xpts per instead of the 60 for alching but it's a three-fer. The bars you can sell on GE or raise smithing.
For runes, I love the dark wizards at the southwest Varrock gate. Good luck.

Yup, bank and anvils nice and close. You can request assist if you have bars and want to vary a bit and make then alch higher items like plates. If you have or can acquire tons of nats, consider the superheat, too.

yeah super heat is good cuz it gets your mage and smithing up. but if you just want to alch i would do steel plates or any rune items that you get or jewerly

Alching isn't really good for money making but it is good for quick mage exp, you can do over 1k/hour if you try hard.

Im alching yew longs at the moment, but they're members sooo.....

I suggest steel plates for free-to-play, they're especially good if you make them yourself.

If you're at steel legs, you're not far crazy far from plates and mithril. And if you're hammering arm gets tired, scoot down and off some wizards at the south gate. Good rune drops for your own mage or selling on GE if you need money really bad.

Rofl such simple money making methods.

The proven best things to alch are yew-mage bows, steel-rune plates.

However none of these work effectively (by that I mean making a profit) as the nats cost loads now. The only way is to make your own and that takes eons.

like if you high alch its like gen. store, rips you off, its better merchanting on GE, buy a piece of barows equ. or d skirt and buy for less sell for more, i made 560k this way..
only lasts a while though

I would alch steel plates. If you do that, you don't lose as much money as much as other things that you could alch.

I did used to make my own items..but now i don't alch any more..the only time that i do alch is when i find an item which is worth alching

the ge makes a stupid limit, 100 items at a time it seems, addy plates were good when the ge opened, but now, ill buy only 100 instantly every 12-24 hours. if you were a member, enchanting bolts is the way to go, just buy supplies and enchant.

Ok i likd the f2p ideas..but who ever told me to do mem stuff(no offence) but are you dislecsic(sp?) By any chance? I've clearly indicated that i'm f2p only...so why do you tell me to do mem things?
