On the top of your own thread it will see thread tools, click it and there SHOULD be an option to close it.

I believe people only get that when they become a clan member (an incentive, probably). So, I don't think . . can close the thread.

Well, at least it used to be that. Let me see if I can close a thread of mine...

No, I was not a clan member a few days ago and I could close my own thread.

Well, not that long ago, it was restricted to Clan Members only. I don't know when it changed then.
