I need a faster way to mine/smith mithril.

Buy copper and tin, and smith till lv 18? smithing, then make bronze pl8s, and sell them to general store.

Do same with iron plates, cept you can sell iron pl8s to GE

TO get mithril + coal, Go to the wilderness where the hobgoblin mine is. THere is no one there and there are a lot of rocks!

Fight cockroaches. They drop noted mithril. If you have plenty of coal, you can use the Varrock armor to use the Edgeville furnace if you're member. Roaches drop noted addy you can save for when you get to that smithing level, too. There's also Crandor with coal and mith near the mossies.

I thought Toasty was asking how to level up quicker to be able to mine/smith mithril. Soz, man, but it's either power-levelling or quests to get that mining up.

If it gets boring (and it will), make smaller goals for yourself, with definite breaks to do something else for a little while. But don't stay away too long or you'll never get the levels! Make a plan then stick to it, like

Mine up to level 28, then
do a quest, then
Smith up to level 12, then
kill some hobgoblins, then
Mine up to level 30, et cetera...

Do Knight's Sword quest for all players. Like 15 k smithing. I like the desert mine for ftp. A bit of a walk but all ore there but rune and furnace and bank in Al Kharid. Can be crowded. I hate the wild, so ask someone else about that. I'd do bronze until steel unless you're member and can use ring of forging. Iron loses half the ore in free world forging. Mine the iron and cola but save for steel.
