You still have a chance of burning them, no matter what cooking level you are. It's an inevitable fact.

There is no way you can not burn a fish w/ a higher lvl. The higher level you have, the higher the chance of not burning it. Like if I had 99 cooking, I might have a 1/10000000000 chance of burning shrimps. Same applies for fishing.

no, that is actually not true. There are certain lvls, where you WILL not burn fish. Here is a table, i found.

Cooking Levels to Stop Burning

There are these gloves called "cooking gauntlets" that let you cook these, w/o ever burning at a lower lvl, you can get them from the quest called "family crest." <--members only

Hey, i don't really know much about this, but i have found that certain Ranges and logs improve cooking.
The better the logs you have burnt the less chance of burning
I have found some good ranges to use as well:
Lumbridge range, it is o.k and you must have completed the Cooks Quest.
Varrock Castle range, i find this one really good and very rarely burns food
Cooking Guild range, this is fairly good, haven't burnt much with it, although it's only available to level 31 + cooks.

Correct, spicy feces.

On my way to the cooking cape I realised that I stopped burning almost every fish at around level 80 (besides sharks). With cooking gauntlets you can cook almost every fish at level 99 and not burn it.
