Rep (doesn't matter now)

How did I go down from 7 rep points to -5 rep points, with just one negative rep? I deleted all the other ones so you only need to look at the most recent one.

How did this happen? Without that top negative rep, my points were 7. However, when that came into place, my points plummeted down to -5! And do you realise that the person says 'your vote is wrong k thnx'. Why did I receive negative rep if they said thanks at the end? Shouldn't it just have been a grey coloured one if they're saying something negative and positive? I'm confused, someone help!

(It doens't matter now, Mastermind gave me a positive rep to stop me whining o.0)

When you give rep there's an option of "Approve" or "Disapprove".

Choosing which option is what gives either negative or positive rep, not the message of the rep itself.

&& I don't really know how the value of rep works... but I guess that negative rep held a value of -12.

Still confused over the whole rep system, but MasterMind gave me a positive rep to make me stop whining...Ok, whatever you say, MasterMind. Anyway, my rep points got boosted from -5 to 11 with that one positive rep...

The more useless rep you have, the more points you can give and take away.

The more rep someone has, the more they can affect others rep when they Approve or Disapprove. What you say in the message doesn't affect the amount rep that is given/deducted.

The following is just an example.

If..let's say.. Unseen Approved repped Shadow MHL, Shadow would probably see an increase of about 50 points.
If Shadow Approved repped Unseen, Unseen would probably just get a grey bar or 4 points.
