could someone help me on this, i wanna know how to have high range and mage AND high str and stuff, but have a low combat, is there a point where mage and range dont effecnt combat? or is there a way i can make it not effect combat, i know a person who was lvl 47 and had 60 str, 1 def, 50 mage and 50 range.....it seemed range and mage didnt effect the combat, thank you very much

Well the only suggestion i have is only training strength to lvl 60 first, then mage to 50 and then range to 50 in that order. Also, no prayer levels. That MIGHT work. im not entirley sure.

if you want the lowest combat possible for high str/magic/range then don't train atk, def, or pray. though not recommended. you need atk to wield better weapons and def to wear better armors.
as soon as you see your combat lvl go up from one way of atking, switch to a different way.

thanks, so you're pretty much saying to train str 1st no matter what, then mage and range wont effect combat?? and attack and defence effect it alot too??

there are combat formulas that rs uses to give you your combat lvl. at least three of them. one that includes atk, str, def, pray, hp. another that has magic, hp, def, pray. and a third that has range, hp, def, pray. each of the formulas usually give a different combat lvl. which ever formula gives highest yield then that lvl is shown for your character.
i know for certain that str is weighted more than atk/def because more people like to train that skill. str pures have a little less advantage this way.
ex: it takes 3 str lvls to raise combat lvl, 4 pray lvls to raise combat lvl. atk/def are somewhere in between. (number NOT exact)
hope that kind of helped

i see thank you very much, it did help alot, you are great, i i think i understand, so if i do the one with str, atk, def, prayer, hp, and get those high, then when i do the mageing it wont effect much because the str one is gives higher yeild

i made a low lvl range/def pure but i gave to my friend not long after starting and it had 22 defence 32 range and when my friend started training its melee he got to 7 attack and not lvled cb (normally he would have got 2 lvls) then he quit so i can really say much more on it
