if you've done horror from the deep quest you get a chouse a book as a reward(saradomin, zamorak or guthix) once you got the book ou will need to get all 4 pages to use it(can be bought/found in trails).
(if you dident know "sara" is short for "saradomin").

if you're a member in runescape then it's basically a book that contains lost pagees-find/buy those pages(to find them they are usually in lvl 3 clue scrolls) and fill your book with them,. after you'll be able to read from it adn it'll even give you a mini-boost in your stats
basically it's a just something nice to have :3

If you have level +50 prayer then you can bless holy/unholy symbols and you can read from it (out load)

Members can start collecting Prayer books by completing the Horror from the Deep (http://tip.it/runescape/?rs2quest_id=80) or The Great Brain Robbery (http://tip.it/runescape/?rs2quest_id=157) quests. Once you've completed the Horror from the Deep (http://tip.it/runescape/?rs2quest_id=80) quest, you can choose between Saradomin, Guthix and Zamorak. Of course you can eventually get all three books, so you won't have to stay with the one you choose first. When you first get the book it will just be called 'Damaged book'. When wielded (in the shield spot) it offers a +5 Prayer bonus.

You need to add 4 torn pages to your book to complete it. The pages are obtained from Treasure trails or by purchasing them from other players. You can get Torn Pages from all three levels of Treasure Trails (http://tip.it/runescape/?page=treasure_trails.htm) clue scrolls. Torn Pages are uniquely named, numbered (1 through 4) and coloured to relate to a god (Guthix, Saradomin or Zamorak). Look below to see which colours the different Gods have. When you get a page matching your book, just Use it on your Damaged book. If you wish to see which pages you're still missing, you can simply right click on your book, and choose 'check'.
When you've completed your first book (all four pages of the related god), you can go to Jossik at the first floor of the lighthouse north of the Barbarian Outpost and get another book of a different God. You need to have your first book completed though; he won't offer to sell you a new one unless you have the other(s) completed. A new book will cost you 5000 gp.

If you ever lose your book, visit Jossik. He will return it to you, with whatever pages it contained when you lost it.
A completed Prayer book containing all four torn pages has a different name: Book of balance (Guthix), Holy book (Saradomin), or Unholy book (Zamorak). It has Attack or Defence powers (see table below). Additional capabilities such as Preach, Blessing, Last Rites, and Wedding rites are available; using these temporarily drains your special attack. To use these you can either right-click the book in your inventory and select the "Preach" option, or you can right-click the book while it is equipped and select the "Operate" option. You can also use completed Prayer Books to bless silver symbols (see our Crafting Guide (http://tip.it/runescape/?page=crafting_guide.htm#silver) for more information) if your Prayer is level 50 or more. Guthix and Saradomin Prayer books can enchant Holy Symbols. Guthix and Zamorak Prayer books can enchant Unholy Symbols. Just 'Use' the book on the related (strung) symbol. This costs 4 Prayer each time; prayer restoration (through using an altar or a potion) will be required.
Likewise, you can obtain the simply titled Prayer Book during The Great Brain Robbery (http://tip.it/runescape/?rs2quest_id=157) quest, with which you can heal any poison affecting you for up to 2 prayer points (based on how many you have when using) by reciting the prayer in this book while wearing a Holy Symbol. You may have to recite the prayer more than once to get a total recovery, however.

Anyways, you can get them from Treasure Trails (Any level). You can put them together into a book, which can be weilded in the shield spot (I think?) and gives a nice prayer bonus.

Torn Page (Guthix, Green) - 45-55k
Torn Page (Sara, White) - 30-70k
Torn Page (Zammy, Red) - 150-160k

They are pages from Treasure Trails that you add to books you get from a quest. I don't quiet remember the name of the quest I think its "Creatures from the Deep", you get the books as a reward from there. They have 3 emotes. They each require 3 pages (Zamorak, Guthix, Saradomin)
