Selling an item way above or below M.S.R.P., is not a scam, people will pay what they will for what they want. Ive bought items at roughly 2 times current (Player market value) value because I wanted it then and there and didn't want to hassle with trying to find someone to sell it to me. Let's use Rune boots as an example. Typically sell 180k - 200k G.p. (Player value) How much do they sell for in general market (NPC). So if you get 1 gp more than what NPC will pay you for it then its a profit for you, eh?.

I dont think you will see rune boots in the general stores. Yes I would say if you dont imply it is rare nd some one pasy 1 mil for it it wouldn't be a scam. I've bought common things for more than they were worth just to save time and trouble too.

Youd be suprised what can be found at general stores on occasion.
If you take rune boots and check the value that you will get if you sold to the general store...i believe its less than 20k, so if bought/sold @ 200k thats more than 10 x (NPC RS) Value.
