wats the difference?

i've been browsing all this runescape fansites and read all their ranged guide.

but still, all of it never make me understand wats the different between shortbow and longbow.

do they give different atk bonusses or wat?

so plz explain to me

that's about what i know about them.
magic shortbow and longbow and differ special atk. magic shortbow shoots twice and longbow shot is more powerful

shortbows hit almost twice as fast as longbows and are easier to train with and to pk with because they shoot more accurate than a longbow

to me long bows are only good for the range guild minigame, lol.

but yeah short bows are the best for pking and training. :D
