Is it true that your own grown magic tree gives off more logs than the normal one? Just wondering...

yer its ever lasting until u get it to a stump then you can dig it up or it will respawn.

No, Magic tree on a farming patch does not give more logs. It behaves exactly the same as a normal Magic tree. It also can be cut down and it regrow in 15 sec after that, so you can keep cutting.
Main advantages are:
1. There is no competition, meaning someone can cut it down too quickly for you not to get your logs
2. You can plant it conveniently closer to a bank
