What level should I start mining coal?

I'd say...

Level 50 - Lumbridge Coal Mine or Coal Trucks ( Member )
Level 60 - Mining Guild

m8 mine iron until levl 60 and then when you can go into the mining guild go into there

Or to level you can mine Silver/Gold for Crafting ( Iron is faster, though ).

I started mining coal early, because I wanted to make steel items. If I was just mining purely for the sake of getting my mining level higher, I'd stick to iron until about 60.
