What should i get after maxing mage?

Ok, I am a pure mage.. I only have mage and i was wondering, when i get 99 mage, what skill should i go onto next?

Um, did you know that it will be very very very hard to get 99 magic? If you do ever get that, then you would probably want to fight somebody or quit RS..
You can also add at least 20 def to your mage pure so that it can wear much better magical clothing.

Should I get ranged or prayer or something?

rycku, so many peopele have attemtpedthis, and so many faily. that kind of includes me :/
i suggest raise it to a good level like 60. also, bury all the bones you get from the monsters you kill for prayer boost.
you will porprably never max mage. so i personally suggest you not become pure and trail all skills. assuming, you dont have a main, that is.

Well, I will see how far I can go. When I give up I will raise another skill.

Since prayer gets your level up alot, and I don't find it very useful, could you recommend another skill I can use? I was thinking about ranging.
And, are pures the best at pking?

i told you. for their level, yes. but once a pure reaches 99 strnghth, the normal warriors quickly catch up. in long run, though, pures are not nubmer one.
long term: normal
short term: pure

I would suggest making money with one of the Non-Combat skills that are available in F2P. At least stop once all your skills (F2P) Are at least lvl 80-85. You'd feel great about that.

i suggest 75 strnghth attack, def, hitpoint, range and mage. hten you should stop and train other stuff.

If I had 99 Magic, the first thing I'd train would be defence. I'd get my defence as high as possible, and then possibly prayer. I love Mage tanks so that is what I'd choose. Try to leave your strength and attack @ 1 so your combat level stays as low as possible.
