merchanting focuses on buying low in large amounts and selling high in large amounts say i buy 10k iron ore for 60 each then sell for 120 each thats a 50% profit = 600k profit i used ores until i had around 6-7m then i started to merch whips then rare items l8er
its better on focussing on items that you like and have an interest in
*tip* always keep a little money on you you never know when a good deal comes along unless your in lvl 52 wildy =\

Try using the forums as a help tool to aid your merchanting. There are players that sell for incredibly cheap or buy for incredibly expensive.

You don't have to be a member to view the runescape forums. You can search up the keywords to see if people are buying or selling the item.

thats not true. however that is pretty much true for nonmembers. but in barrows trding, its one of the best merchanting moeny you will get and its onyly a few items.

anyways, like that dude said you can give a shot at buying/selling iron ore.i suggest 100 each though. too hard to sell 120 ea. and he is a f2p for crying out loud so he doesnt merchant wihps.

What is barrows???

barrows is a very power armor and weapon set that has special powers. you must be a member, aka, pay 5 dollars a month to be able to use these stuff. barrows have differant effects, and evreytime you hit theres a chance it will do its effect:
guthan: hit 20, get healed 20. (damage inflicted heals you)dhroak: lower your hp, higher you hit (and you can hit super damage with it. i could hit 69 with it haahah)
karil (range) i forgot....
(dangit my memory is fading)
and this guy with big helm...(*i forgot name, sorry) go throw your armor (hit like you are not wearing armour)
mage: chance to confuse, etc.
they all cost mills, except the karils set, costing only 700k.
barrows sets will decay, and when they tell you its broken, you need to repair it for like 200k a set.

barrowing is going to this member place to get barrows items. its for super top players like me ^^
kharils set is cheap? listen to barrowing:
you go to this mound. there you iwll meat one fo the barrows brothers (each wearing their unquie armor) each can do thespecial effct of the set. (oh i forgot to tell you about torag. torag is the weakest, and his armor is cheapest with bad effect, but it has the best protection)
you dig the mound and you will fall down to a sarcogopha. open it to fight a barrows brother. they are extrememly lethal (especially dhrok who can do like 59 damage)
one of you mounds you search will led to a tunell. go in. its like a little maze. you want to go through the center. there's 4 ways ledaing to it, but you must solve a puzzle in a limited amoun of time to open the door blocking the exit to the... chest. that is porprably where you will meet the last barrows brother.
why is karil not so good?
because warriors can kill him.
there are many ways to do barrowing, and i made my own super barrowing guide at the guides section, all made by myself. guthan is currently the most expensive set, and it was like 8mill the last time i checked.

Ok, i got a merching idea.
Since i am mage when i can enchant diamonds i will make them into power ammy's and sell them 7k each!!! yay! Thats a 2k profit i think!

i suppose, but who would but ammy? its 1 per customer, so if you plan to get 100k, it would take took long. yews are infested with autoers...but be a p2p and you will have no probelsm. there not much autoers or sweatshop workers in members worlds.
i strongly suggest you check out or at least read about what members world is like.
yews are great money. afterwards you can turn onto mages. they sell 1k per logs, it HORDES of poeple buy them. thats why amges are great money. cut 100 = 100k! so be member, invest in cuttin gbuissness like me
or do theiving on members world and long run is a bit better than wcing.

Cool, i heard fletching is good too however only when u got 70 wcing i beleive

i have 86 wc and 83 fletching. flethcing is good, but its really boring.
wcing, just wc and read a bok or soemthing.
fletching requires full ttention every second you do it. and its very repeptetive. i suggest you do wc or theiving if you will get bored after hours of grinding levels. plus the steps to selliing buying and everything and ratios, it might kinda...ocnfuse you. and if you mess up on mass ammounts, you might lose mills.
i suggest you do wc or theiving. theiving is more of a long term thingy, and takes long time for it to be better. but it is used for some important quests you will eventually meet in members world (desert treasur for one. and a hella of a treasure)

You should merchant willows. Buy like 10k willows for 25 each and sell for about 28 each. World 1.

I'm no expert merchanter, so that's the best i can do for you.

Try merchanting rune axes. I know a guy who sells for 15kea. buy 10 for 150k. Then sell for 17kea+ A lot of people buy for 20kea. So you can make 50k in less than half an hour. I know its not a lot, but its a start.

2. iron ore is so freakin easy to sell just go on runescape.com forums....
3. the best items to merch for f2p are supplies for making things (raw materials) because rune axes are already made and there is a set price on them

i think hiring miners for 50 each on iron ore is the way to go on f2p i got a green hween doing that for like 4 months (i wasted most my money on random stuff thats why it took so long)
but l think you should stick to what you like if you make a profit its worth doing....

thats crazy. wc mages is 30k per half hour. and thats f2p merchanting.... dude, thats CRAZY>
