(south west of varrock west of the river lum)

The crafting guild, if you can get in.

Otherwise SW of Varrock like alfonse said or N of Al-Kharid.

Another place that you could mine would be just North of Alkarid in the mining spot. There are a few ores there but the distance travelling is quit far.
