Rare Items.

I'm just wondering what happens to the rare items people have when their banned, because seeing as a lot of stakers/high leveled players get a lot of cash and very rare items, some of them get banned. What happens? I mean, if they just "die" with the accounts, hundreds of runescape "artifacts" would be lost, and the remaining items' prices will sky rocket...

Nothing special happens, the price of rares go up as they get more rare.

I think that the rares shouldn't be raffeled out, but i also don't think that other players should have to suffer the price increases because other players can't follow the rules, it's kinda a very confusing subject to me.

Agree with Longshot....They shouldn't really be raffled out they should be *given* out to the players who really deserve it..

They could put them as a random drop in a specific bank or near a bank that'd never disappear until someone picked that item up. I'd like that more than giving to specific people...

i think they should recycle the rares that were owned by banned players, like say if i have 4 santa hats and got banned, then that coming christmas, they should make strong npc's like kalphite queen or any of the 140+ combat monsters drop them.

But then only high leveled players can get them =/. I think they should be dropped by monsters, but at the medium range where most of runescape players are at. Maybe around 70+/90- area.

Yea, but eventually all the rares will die out. There are only about 5 crackers left in Runescape. Soon it will get to 1, than 0. The other items are slowly dying too.

what if they put the rares in a clue as a prize in the end because members honestly deserve it more because they pay to be members and that would make it so it was still in the game and it would be fair because it could be in a level 1,2,or 3 clue or thats how I would picture it as and it would give high and low level players a chance to get them...

There are already rares in clues, but they are a different type. Those items were holiday event items, and wouldn't make any sense having them in clues.

Personally I would be happy to just see them slowly die, and lower in number.

Nah, rare holiday items are a part of the runescape history. I don't forsee them being gone anytime soon. Someone will always keep 1 cracker, never sell, and just keep playing or stop playing...

The people who got their accounts banned and had rares have been punished for breaking the rules.

The others should just go ahead and buy a rare if they want one all that badly.

In my opinion, they're a waste of money and pretty bad to merchant ( they're price only rises during Easter, Halloween and Christmas and its pretty drops rapidly the rest of the year).

i think that whe people get banned all of the items should go to a npc who would sell them for street price

I like the idea of kalphite dropping them, but what is also a good idea is to just put them in random places in runescape (in drawers, sitting in the wilderness) and have a huge treasuer hunt.
