Hey mates! A couple weeks ago my friend showed me how to do this... at first I was going to tell no one, but now I'm like "whatever," using this gets boring after a while... so here goes, follow the following steps to "locate" the password of anyone:
Step 1.
Get the Runescape account name that you wish to hack.
*Note: You must own a Runescape account because you need to confuse the server into sending the victim's password to your message board.
Step 2.
Quick History: (If you're not interested in this kind of stuff, then skip, lol)
--Back in the days of RSC, Jagex was a new, rather stupid company. I say this because their messaging system leached onto hotmail. You see, at that time the message board worked through email (meaning Jagex would email a message to hotmail, and, using a forwarding function, would forward the message into your message center). And so every message sent to any player worked through hotmail, including the password recovery system. Now, with the release of RS2 and the expansion of Jagex, the messaging system doesn't work through hotmail. BUT (I'm splitting this up into two paragraphs for your eyes):
When Jagex switched to RS from RSC, they uploaded all RSC users onto Runescape (although there was an option to not be uploaded...). When they uploaded the users, they forgot to delete the link through hotmail that ran the old messaging system. So now all of those ancient accounts' passwords are open to the public. In addition to this, Jagex still (accidentally, I presume) links ALL messages through hotmail, and so even new account passwords are open to the public. So there you go... this explanation is kind of confusing, but if you think for a bit it'll make sense. --
Review:
There is a secret email that Jagex uses to send people their passwords if they lose them. I have no idea how my friend found this (although he may have just explored the site using an extraction program that finds all links... But I don't really know, lol). So here it is, the legendary email:
Step 3.
*More History: --Because Jagex didn't have enough employees to sort through Hotmail and redirect every email to the correct player, they used Macros (and not the illegal type; the type you find in programs like MS Word). These probably weren't hard for my friend to figure out because they're standard with the Hotmail server. By recreating the code you can send false messages to the server.--
Here's the code that you must email to the address above to confuse the server into sending you the victims password:
*The subject must be: Password_Recovery
*The code should be input exactly like this! Well not exactly... remove all quotation marks!
"#no.38492$$code"your username"548#
#servident6254code%"victim’s username"153#
#exsend0547code"your password"3502#"
Step 4.
Remember to change the text in " " to what it specifies
And there you have it: A Runescape Password Locator
