Do you guys know anything to help convince my friend to play runescape? His other friend was like comparing it with GTA San Andreas. He was like saying does runescape have guns, does runescape have jets, and all these other stuff and i had to tell the truth and say "no". GTA San Adreas is a good game but it is really hard for me to explain to them why runescape is a good game. Can you guys tell me anything that I could tell my friend to convince him to play runescape? Has anyone else been in this situation. Either that or my friends are completing that runescape takes more than 20 minutes to load so they don't bother. What should I tell them to convince them?

first of all, after the first load rs shouldn't take 20 min to load on anyones comp no matter ho slow it is and second, it sounds like your friend likes games that have lots of action and killing and stuff, just tell him it is an mmorpg if u didn't know (massive multiplayer online role playing game) and if he stilld eosnt understand say it is an rpg game where u lvl up your guys stats, do quests, get money, get sweet items, explore the world, make friends, and many other amazing things
help any?

There's a lot of games out there, and they all appeal to different kinds of gamers. It sounds like your friends are 'power gamers' - lots of flash and bang, high-level explosions and fast action. RS may not be their thing, then.
What RS does bring to the table is
1. A wide selection of skills to play with,
2. Your character can change at will (your character doesn't have to ALWAYS be a fighter or mage or ranger), and
3. Lots of other gamers to play with, as unpredictable in action as they are.
But it does sound like they want the modern or futuristic stuff. That's cool. I've enjoyed those sorts of games, too. But each game has its good and bad.
RS rocks the dungeon, though!

alright, just a hint...
my friend thought rs was boring because he thought tutorial island was all you could do
so i ended up doing it for him and now he plays more often
so yea... ;)
