are pures the only way to go to pk?

So, I'm new to this game (first char) and i was wondering: I don't want to make a pure character (my guy is kind of even in all atk stats), and I was wondering if I can try pking with him and win sometimes or will i just be overwhelmed by pure characters all the time?

any help would be great

at lower lvls pures have advantage - but a higher lvls it comes down to strategy / experience

This is a tough one really...Im not sure to be honest with you. If you make a guy with really high defence then it may be able to defeat pures.

well ive never really seen how pures help .... cuz everyone else has a pure out in the wildy and they just kill you... so when i have pked ive used my main.. but ive always gone in groups so idk if alone a pure has the advantage maybe

i think what vgreco is trying to say is if u get all ur comabt type stats up around 85-99 then it doesnt really matter if ur a pure or not cause ur pretty strong in everything

If u post ur stats and lvl it wud help. Also u don't need a pure 2 pk but its good if u do.

pures r so easy to kill if u kno wut ur doing...like range will own any pure no matter wut...well bsides rune pures >.< but if ur thinking bout pking alot id highly suggest that u lvl up range to at least brign w/ u

pures are very good single killers (or dual), but not very good in large groups (proven, i seen a video :))
a clan of balancers crushes right over a clan of pures. Simply all on 1 pure (mostly low def) and go all the way thru the enemy clan ^^.

A pure str, is helpful as u have 80str 40att and 1 or 5 def. Coz ur combat stays low so ppl attack u but they dont know that u got 80 str, and u hit way too high that they would suspect, so u kill them easily.
If ur experienced I would suggest train ur def till 40. that wont make ur cb alot higher and u coudl were rune. But to do that, u should be gettin 80 str + and 40att. If ur planning to get mems, get more att so u'll b able to wear dragon..
