High Alching Yew Longs

Got some quick questions - I am approaching soon what I need to Alch Yew Longs

1) I assume you Alch a strung Yew Long vs. unstrung?

2) What is the amount you get per Long?

yes definately do strung yew longs
I believe it is 768 gp but may be off by a little

geez - I thought this was such a money maker! I figure:

Nats 310 ea (for spell)
BS 140ea (for the long bow)

Total 450 cost

Alc value 768

net: 318 ea

1000 of these nets you only 318K?

Now, I know you can say you can make your own bow strings and rc your own nats, but that is time consuming

I am close to 70 Mining and Smithing - better off selling Addy items to non-members

Fletching is good if you get the materials yourself. You train your wc by getting yews, train your rc by getting nats, and buy either the bs of flax.. Fletching is just an easy way of getting xp.

If you didn't string the bows, then it would high alch for half of 768.
And not until you can smith the addy armours will you make more money from smithing.

I hear ya - that is what I was saying above where you can make the money if you can get the nats and bs yourself. My wc is 63, rc 53. Just need to get my fletching up to fletch the yews.

My Mining and Smithing are at 68, so almost there on addy. Will have to get my Smithing to mid 70's to start making anything useful in addy to sell.

Thats wat i did to get ma range up its slow but you dont loose as much cash
if you want fast xp i recommend buyin airstaff then go to world 66 and buy 1mill laws for 300k thats what i also did
