Need some suggestions.

Lately I have been wanting to get my smithing up, but just can't decide which way to go. Currently 57, and I want to get it up possibly to 70.

Just give me a few suggestions as to how I should go about doing it.

1. Um, some suggestions are smith iron, steel, or mith. I'd say choose gold and use gold smithing gauntlets. :)
2. Then the next best choice would be iron + rings of forging...
3. And the next best would be steel because it requires you to mine less ores than mith to lvl up.
4. Look at forums and make cannonballs or iron bars for somebody, they often pay you to smith for them also. :)

Ya I did gold because of its xp, course its harder to sell gold bars at a decent price

I know you are member, and i need to get like 5 smith lvls for a quest.

I asked a lvl 124 about this, and she said:

Bring like 100 laws and water runes and 10k GP, tele to ardy, take boat from ardy to karamja, then walk west until you can see a gold mine. you can mine about 15 gold ores there, and there is also one spawning, when you are full, tele back to ardy, and repeat.

When you want to smith, USE goldsmith gaunt, as they help ALOT. Tele with echtopical to canafis, and use bank in ghostt ahoy city and the furnace there to smith them to bars. This is also good for crafting xp later, as you will get many gold ores.

I thought about buying iron ores and forging rings, make the ores into bars, and the bars into knives. Knives sell pretty easily, and it would be good exp.

Probably just find someone needing cannonballs though, tons of people on forums pay you to make cannonballs for them.

If you go for gold, use the mine in Keldarim - it is the fastest way to mine/bank gold. Another good place is horseshou mine on Karamja, like glory devil said. The only thing I would add there is that it is faster to use your house to get there rather than Ardougne and boats.

If you don't have smith gauntlets (and don't plan to get them), iron bars is best way (money/speed wise). Steel is expensive. Cannon balls are too slow.

I'm F2P but i heard that smithing with gold gauntlet thingys are good xp but burns money and i tried to sell gold bars are and they take a little longer than other things to sell...and i suggest smelting the gold bars in the crafting guild all you need is a brown apron and any pick with the gauntlets
