staking

Could someone explain staking to me, here peeps talikng about it but I really dont understand how it works

Usually its runescape members who are the ones staking. In the Al Kharid duel arena, you can challenge anyone there to a duel. Before beginning to duel, you can bet/stake money or tradeable items on who will win.

rker said it all except you can set rules up like no range/mage/melee ect: and no food or prayer stuff like that and you can make so you can't wear armour peices.

ya but i hear people saying stakers win and lose mils and even bils everyday. how does that happen?

They can win and lose that much because that's how much some of them bet.
