Congrats to the only real mod who deserved it, Ch33z. He has been here for a while and deserved it but how long has ninja been here? i dont know less than more people who deserved it (melle) but most of Ninja's posts have been either flame or spam, alright onto Rker, he was a pritty good choice but there are still some other who deserve it. Rker hasnt flamed or spammed (to my knowledge) but i still think he want the best choice to become a mod, alot of people deserve it who havent done anything wrong but still deserve it but have not even gotten the slightest of attention, alright im gunna go and stop this before i flame....i love choobs

I don't think the staff really looked into who would make a better mod or not cause, they chose active people and such but activeness isnt the only thing needed. If the person isnt capable of telling where to draw a line or whether to let something slide. They should also not be afraid to get serious with members when they break a serious rule like continous flaming and defaming someones character in such a way that is far from acceptable. I know that ive never really gotten warned for anything except by the admins when I did something wrong and I dont know if any of the mods ever have handed out a warning to some people but i digress. Im nor saying who i think isnt a good choice and who is but i think you should take more then a week in considering a mod position and have certain guidelines in which to decide from.

Yes I agree with the staff only picking people who were active, which shouldn't be going on. They should be focusing on people who have been active for a long time, but also mature and know when not to mess around.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy having these new responsibilities as a mod but I see what you guys mean beyond simply being active.

I have to admit ninja has said some things in the gfx section that may have offended some people, but when someone puts more faith in you, you usually dont want to let them down. And so, if I do anything to fail my duties, feel free to demod me until I'm ready for something like this.

Basically it took around a week for the people to be chosen, and sent a pm, a few more days than it was taken for Ace and Bacon, I think.

Maybe you feel that they haven't been here long enough, or are too volatile. But
what Rker said was correct and you should give them a chance to prove themselves before running them off like you did soul x mage.
The admins and mods obviously think they would be good for rsb, and that's about the only opinion you really need when you're the one taking care and clearing up all the rubbish that gets on here.

Well I'm glad everyone has an opinion on the topic but unfortunately this decision was one that was made by the whole staff team, and each person that became a mod was promote for a reason. Unfortunately you guys will just have to accept our judgement on the matter because unless mods start demonstrating behaviour that we feel is unbecoming of what we are seeking out of our moderators here at RSB we will be sticking with the mods we have chosen.

Just in case you're all curious, those who were considered to be Moderators were Ch33z, Magex2, Rker, El Robusto, Meleemaster, Cheat and NinjasAreUs. If you're not being considered but feel you'd make a great Moderator remember to contribute to the boards in posting or reporting. :)

Oh, and by the way, if we did this by majority votes get Moderator then here'd be the order.

1) Ch33z and Rker with 4 votes each.
2) El Robusto and Meleemaster with 3 votes each.
3) NinjasAreUs with 2 votes.
4) Cheat and Magex2 with 1 vote.

So anyone saying Ninja only got it because he was Takuyar's ***** was correct and incorrect. ;) But congratulations to you all anyways, hope you leave a positive impact in the moderation of the boards.

Ive did my share of flaming when ive been provoked, but ive not done any recently, and ive been trying to become as mature as possible

Ninja Did more flaming than me, BUT! he also reported a ton more than anyone else, meaning he's on guard for all the topics and posts (thats why ive only been able to lock one thread as a mod, ninjas got them all XD )

Rker is active, and hes very mature, this board needs someone like that

So you can see, each moderater has its own effect on this boards, and eventually I think it will grow onto everyone, everyones gonna be freaking now because its change, but then things will settle, and people we become used to it all

People are always gonna feel like this when decisions are being made. Not eveyone will agree with what is happening but you just gotta learn to deal with it and not let it bug you. Yes I agree with giving people fair chances to do what they were assigned to do. As long as they do their job why do you care if it was unfair? People will always feel that some unfair choice was made then others but dont let it get to you considering this is just a web-site and is not like getting a job in real life....trust me on that lol. Dont change the way you are now just because you want to become a mod in the future. Of course their will always be more mature people then others, but what would be the point of having mods of their were only mature people? And I also think without the immature people then these boards would just be flat out boring. So all and all the mods were chosen for a reason and theirs nothing we can say or do that will make them de-modded. So deal with with it and lets all get along. :D

ch33zz deserves to be a mod but making certain other people mods that doesnt deserve to become them well thats just stupid as hell. They need to have threads up to were we can vote on who will and who wont become mods...otherwise...dont make dic's mods....period :wink:

Oh yea, and about me getting mod priv. in less than a month of being on these forums...well...i was addicted to these forums because i could see that this forum shown alot of activity and didnt show much show off'y people (unlike runehq and tip.it)

I would be happy to become a mod in the near future but I seriously doubt this will happen.

I decided to put Ninja in as mod because after a little chat with Tak I felt that Ninja could add value to our moderating in terms of sheer activity and proactive reporting. It was pretty much down to that. Sure Ninja isn't everyone's first pick but sometimes that is the way it goes - we needed to fill a specific role and Ninja was the number one candidate in mine and Tak's eyes.

Don't worry guys every round of mod appoints more and more people are being considered, and it's not like this is the last set of new mods RSB will get. At the rate RSB is growing these days we will probably need new mods again early in the new year - plus if I ever get the time and money to upgrade RSB to vB we will probably be looking to appoint a number of category mods. So if you aspiring to mod here at RSB just keep constructively contributing to discussions and creating new and interesting threads throw in just a tiny bit of maturity and it's just a matter of time. And remember - good things come to those who wait.
