What Happened?

I haven't been to RuneMasters in a while. Well a quest hasn't been released in a while.
Anyways, I wanted to see what was up on this forums since I haven't been on for a while and for some reason the forums directed to RuneBoards. What happened to the RuneMasters forum? How can I submit guides for RuneMasters now?

Not even a archive of them, but Super probably has a localhost IPB going with them on, or maybe Galb does :P

Well, the reason we don't have an archive is because we had a hacker attack, which Galb said required a lead administrator account to execute. However, it actually required SQL Debug to be on, or set to level 3 or whatever--the details there don't matter. Point is, he deadminned everybody, and Chris wanted me to turn our boards offline (I planned on making an archive), but as a non-admin thanks to Galb, I couldn't. Additionally, due to the password change the hacker did, I couldn't even log into my normal account even if it was still an admin, and despite fixing the password in the database, I couldn't get it working at all. So, I decided to just upload a 5-day old backup, knowing that virtually nothing had happened in the forums during that time, since everybody was moving over to here. Well, despite the fact that the backup was done perfectly, it somehow created some glitches with the board itself, and until we can get those settled, there will be no archive. Sometime in the future, if enough people want the archive or desperately need things from there, we may work on sorting the mess out, but for now we're just trying to update the site as best as we can.

As for future guides and such, submit them here for now until I add a submission system built into the site itself (yes, I'm planning this).

what else is new, I just don't understand the ejoyment you get out of hacking someones account or someones site, other than knowing you ruined someones extremely hard work. its really just sad... Still these forums are cool and everything and a guide submission on the site would be cool. Anyways good luck super with getting everything back up and welcome to beud.

I saw though that Galb could still go on his NS Account, but I'm not sure if this makes a difference really.

I can, because that account is just a regular administrator... Not a ROOT administrator.

And though it may require SQL Debug set to 3 (Which I was not aware of at the time), it also required at least one ROOT administrator account, which I was aware of. So I eliminated the ROOT administrators thus taking care of the problem the way I knew how.

Which is infinitely preferable to leaving it open for that hacking idiot to run wild.
