You cant forge other peoples work as ur own...but you can email the head site manager or wat ever and ask to use his stuff on his site....i do that for the 5 runescape help sites and forums i have currently up.

It's illegal if it's copyrighted. I suggest either writing your own articles or asking to use other articles. Or you could have people submit articles (that's what RuneHQ does)

rHQ is copyrighted. Most sites are.. You can have people submitting it. Most people will do that to see their names on a guide. Write your own articles too, it will be safer. Do not rip-off or you will get majorly spammed by people from the site you copied if they are immature.

Or just ask the website owners. You might be able to make an agreement. Look at www.rsbandb.com and www.runehq.com (BTW, runehq's articles used to also appear on rsbandb, but they were removed for some reason)

if you dont get permission just copy runehq's in your own words like if it was farming:
runehq:
runescape relesed farming today...
you:
todays runescape update: a new farming skill
i am sure the is legal.

Rsbandb and RhQ are affiliated..
Fordfan, he means things like quest guide..not Rs Updates..Everybody can quote Rs updates.

Ask people on your site to write guides for you, most are happy to do so.

...what u guys dont get is how to "reword things".
pretty much, u copy and paste w/e a guide u want or anything. then u read over it and put it in ur own words. duh. and it only takes like 5-10 min to reword. its totally legal.

Duh..You think its easy? If the similarities are there, they can know it and complain.
And its paraphrasing, if you want a better and longer word.lol..

I am not very good at paraphrasing, because I write things in the same wors they use, and I should start typing with smaller words then I might do it better.
But in a way it is waaay better than typing 30 pages your self and find the pictures which is the hardest part.

oo0o0oo0o they gonna complain. who cares if they complain. they cant prove that u copied if its not the same. but using screen shots is a no-no when doing this, cuz u can tell when if its exactly the same. so uh..i just wouldnt use screenshots then :D
oh and yes, i find it quite simple. duh.

i meant that finding the pictures and screenshots was the hardest part when you are writing your own, at least for me it is. well the thing about paraphrasing is not get caught with any evidence, well good night i am off to nappy timmy landdy

Lol..Mass spamming forums, stuff like that, autoregistering, downtime for the site..Stuff like that.
Show me a GOOD paraphrased guide by YOU then.

ok here i go. this is for vampire slayer.
VAMPIRE SLAYER QUEST GUIDE:
starting point: In draynor Village
What to do:
In draynor find a man in a house named Morgan. He tells you to go to the Jolly Bear Inn to find his friend Dr. Harlow.
b4 u go to boars inn (if u even knew where that was) go upstairs in morgans house and search the cupboard for sum garlic.
Go to Jolly Boar Inn ( north of varrock, then a lil east) Buy 3 beers(i think thats the right amount) b4 u talk to him.
when he asks for the beers, u should already have them, so give them to him.
When hes wasted he will give u info on how to beat the vamp. You should get a stake from him b4 u leave. Make sure u have all the items he said.(u should get a hammer too)
Go to back to draynor and then north to the creepy house. go inside and go straight until u run into the back of the house. go right and follow that way until u see stairs.
go down and fight the vamp by opening the coffin. the vampire is lvl 34, so get the right food and armor if u do this as a lower level.
Get his hp all the way down. u will automatically pound the stake in his heart when he has a full red bar. if u dont have stake or hammer when he has full red bar, he will heal and get a full life (not sure why...)
rewards: 3 quest points and around 4250 attack experience.
---------------------------------------------
that took about 10-12 minutes. and its even better than the guide on runehq if u ask me.
i win! 8)

u cant take runehq's and tip.it's stuff, and add to ur site.
do u see on the bottom of many pages? ''copyrighted'', means u CANT.
why dont u write, runeHQ and tip.it did...
its the same as selling pictures, if someone other have made it...

i didn't think you had to do anything with the stake
i didn't and i passed the quest
the only way to kill the vampire is if you have the stake in your inventory, otherwise he would just regenarate and you fight him again

that what i thought.....but i cant remember....dam it idk what happens do u need to use it on him or not.

you don't use it, you just need to have it in your inventory

but anyways thats not the point. the point is i took a guide off runehq.com and practically redid it in 10min and made it better (i think so) when it would take much longer if i wrote it out while i did the quest or asked other people about what happened in the quest.

Lol XD. Use proper english :P
Umm, your guide is toally not like Runehq's. What i meant is that, people take time to rephrase it and sometimes it's very easy to pick out the similarities.
You redid the whole thing, not the point of paraphrasing..
