High Alching

Well I am wanting to get from 54-70 Mage. I don't want to loose much money though. So what would be the best item so that I won't loose much money but pretty good Exp. Like if I loose like 50 gp then thats fine. I am just needing help.

If you're F2P, then I would suggest either green d'hide bodies or rune med helms. These are VERY cheap and are great xp.

Just do FOG, easy and free mage xp.

I remember when I actually had to go and buy chaos, uber slowly, from the shop and that. FOG makes it so much easier :p

Ive been looking stuff up about High Alching Addy pl8's and I would only loose 63 gp each addy pl8 I alch, do you think that is good?

if you buy rune sq at lowest price you will gain 2k each time
if you buy rune med help at lowest you will gain 500 gp
but i dont think anybody will sell addy plate for lowest

You obviously have a low mage lvl. Mage xp is halved in FOG.

It wasn't always. Maybe he did it a long time ago. Don't assume he has a low Mage level. Cause you obviously don't know what you're talking about.

@Cody: make sure you factor in the price of nature runes. I always forget to do that.

Alch green d hide bodies...you will lose a little money but, nothing is free in runescape now...well, almost nothing.

Current buying price in GE for green d'hide body--->4,550gp
Nature runes cost---> 225gp
Total--->4,775
Alching price--->4,680

Total loss---> 95gp

There are other things that may not lose as much..but just to keep it simple.

You will loose Gold. Alot of Gold.

Try woodcutting then sell the logs. Use the Gold you get from woodcutting for Magic ;).

Use the spell curse on the dummy in lumbridge. Its 29 xp per cast and cannot fail. You can spam it on the dummy without having to wait for a cooldown like the monk of zamorak.

P2p: Get a mud staff and it only costs 1 body rune per cast only 9gp for 29xp (mega cheap xp)

F2P: Use a staff or water or earth. Say you use staff of water, 3 x earth rune = 45gp + 1 x body = 54 gp per 29xp.

Seems a lot cheaper to me than high alching. I've been doing this but still high alching when i do slayer and a monster drops mithril/ad/certain rune items.

Magic is the one skill that requires a lot of money. If you want to get high in magic, then you will have to spend some cash.

Well first of all, if you don't want to loose a lot of money, don't train magic at all rofl.

And there's no way to loose less than 25 gp an alch, unless you craft the runes.
