I have been an Administrator for many years on several different forums. Banning miscreants and malcontents is probably the worst way to deal with dissension. If you try to dam up the rising tide, it will only get higher and faster.

This is not the way to deal with this. I'm sorry no one has had the guts to say this before, but you are going about this the wrong way. Instead of standing back and letting Yeti's jealous fit pass, you tried to contain it. In an effort to keep control, you have gone overboard. Your forced "Oath of Allegiance" is a typical tyrant move to keep order in a community that has very little. This is not the way to make friends and win over enemies, this is how to lose friends, antagonize old enemies, and make new enemies.

Please stop before this falls apart completely. You are heading down that road, and it is a very ugly way back.
