About the Fist of Guthix
This mini-game is available both for free players and members. It is located in the wilderness, north of Varrock. This game can only be played on certain worlds. In my experience, it’s better to play on the more popular worlds. The game is really simple. You are paired up with another person. This is random, so you can be stuck with any level.

So in the first round, one person is the hunter, and the other is the hunted. The goal of the hunter is to do anything you can to kill your opponent as quickly as possible. The hunters stats are boosted (but they don’t appear on the skills), so even if you are a low level, you can still kill players twice your level. You are supplied runes, bandages and a tele-orb.

Now for the hunted, you are less powerful, so you hit less and your defense isn’t as good. You have to pick up an orb, located around the edges of the arena. Then you wield the orb, and you receive charges, the closer you are to the centre, the more charges you receive. There are also four portals. Inside, only the hunted can go. In there, you can teleport to other portals to loose your enemy. But, when inside, you also loose about 3-4 hit points every few seconds.

Also, each person will have a chance at hunter and being hunted. Each round is a maximum of 5 minutes, or until you get 5,000 charges.

Equipment
Equipment is very important in this game. It depends on your levels, and if you are the hunted or hunter. So here are your options

The Hunter's Equipment
For the hunted, no matter what level you are, I suggest using magic. Bring any type of staff, wield it, and just select the highest spell you can use. You can also wear other things that add magic bonuses. You can also bring a rune 2-hand to hit your opponent if they use the “Protect from Mage” prayer. All you have to do is attack your opponent once, and then when s/he runs, you automatically chase them and attack, until they go into a portal. If you have a high strength level, you can just melee it all the way. I suggest you don’t carry too much to weigh you down, and loose your energy quickly.

The Hunted's Equipment
For the hunted, there are many possibilities. I suggest bringing a rune helmet, rune plate body and rune platelets. Do not bring a shield, because when you wield the orb, you can’t have a shield. So wear your rune. If the hunter is using mage, take it off immediately, as armour has a negative mage bonus. I strongly suggest you have a high prayer level, so you can use the “Protect from” spells, and one of the prayers that helps your defense. If your opponent uses range of melee, just wear your armour.

Tips for the Hunters
Being a hunter is the easier of the two. When you start, run to the center quickly. Wait there a few seconds, if you opponent doesn’t show up, run to the right of where you came from, to the left. So if you spawn at the south, run to the middle, then run west, and around the border to the east. Then to the center, by now you should have found your guy. Start attacking him and uses prayers to increase your stats. If your guy goes into a portal, run around to all portals. If you are low on energy, run to the centre, because that’s where your energy rises quickly.

A technique used by the hunted is to stand in one spot so the hunters can’t find them. This is called “death dotting”, and “dding”. This is usually hard on crowded worlds. If this happens, one thing to do is to keep right clicking and searching. Or you can select a spell, right click on the “death dot”, now the “walk here”, “follow …” and “trade…” options are gone, making it easier. You can also add your opponent as a friend, and you can find them faster. One piece of advice is to never, EVER forfeit. Your rating will decrease, and next game you will receive less tokens if you win. And it also makes you look weaker.

[b]Tips for the Hunted[b]
Being hunted is always hard. But if you know how to play, you can easily win. There are two ways to be hunted. Here is one way:

When you begin, quickly get an orb, and wield it. Now start running along the edges to the opposite site of where you began. Now stand behind a rock, as it can buy you a few seconds. Now just stay here. When you see the hunter approaching, quickly use your tele-orb. When in the center, start right clicking to find where the most people are standing, this is the death dot. Now don’t move, and just wait. Usually, the hunter will have a hard time finding you if you are in a crowded world. Your hit points will be reducing by two every while, that’s just the force. If you opponent manages to find you, run into the house portals. Wait there until s/he leaves, then get back out and go to the death dot. Now continue doing this until you die or you run out of time. This is recommended for lower levels.

The second option is to get an orb and immediately run to the center and find the death dot. Now just wait here. If/when your opponent finds you, just use prayer. Since the bandages heals 15 hit points, wait until you loose 15, then heal. This is recommended for higher levels.

How to Spend your Tokens
When you win a game, you receive tokens. You can get as little as 4, or as high as 25, depending on how much you beat you opponent by. If you loose, you also get one for trying. But when you forfeit, you don't get any. When you have many tokens, you can use them to buy certain stuff like different robes, shields, gloves coifs and many others.

Here is what I do. Go to the RuneScape home page, and look for the Grand Exchange Database. Now, search the price of each item, and right it down, now beside that, write the cost of each item in tokens. Now divide the two numbers to see how many gold pieces you get per token. Some items you get 100 gp per token, but other you can earn triple that. So if you want to make money, that’s an easy way to figure what is the best buy. But if you want items to use them, just buy them.

Conclusion
I hope you enjoyed my guide. This is my first of many, I hope. If you have any questions, comments or feedback, feel free to private message me. Maybe we can somehow face each other, and see who the real master is!
